I had a tropical hibiscus die over the winter. I cut it back and waited for regrowth but hadn't seen any. Recently, something has begun growing from the ground next to the dead tree/bush. It is probably just a weed, but I wanted to make sure before I ripped it up. I know very little about plants. This new growth has come up very fast. To the best of my memory, the leaves are similar to the hibiscus. Please help.
