Dense Woods Plant

This plant was along a trail through the woods. The area was so heavily shaded, that the ground was mostly bare and mossy. I didn't remember to check for alternate/opposite leaves. The plants were about 2 inches high, with leaves about 2 inches across. Leaf margins were crenate.
