Definitely not pulmonaria - look at Symphytum officinale, aka comfrey.

Definitely Symphytum but I've never seen S officinale which is actually blue: white, purple, pinkish but not blue. Plenty of other Symphytums out there but I can't say which this is.

Thanks so much, it does seem to be blue comfrey (Symphytum). Was a pretty sea of blue when the flowers were first out. Sounds like it spreads assertively, probably just as well for the space where I have them. Good to know!
