looks like daylily to me

Could it be a Spiderwort (tradescantia)? The foliage does look like daylily, but the small foliage at the top seems to indicate there is a stem coming up out of the middle, which would be more like a spiderwort. Another picture might help. At any rate, when it blooms, you'll know if it's one of these two. Bob

Stokesia?

Definitely not a daylily, but looks like both stokesia and spiderwort, neither of which I have had in my garden. I'll wait for the bloom. Hope neither is invasive.
