Lavender flowered bush

Hi Guys!

Can anyone tell me what this plant is called? It is a bush and my friend loves it and would like to grow one from these clippings if possible. I noticed on the underside of the bush itself, it was all a tangled mess. It almost grew like mangrove without the water.

Can anyone identify it and can it grow from the clipping? If so, how do we root it?

Thanks in advance,

Plumbago auriculata.

Thank you florauk! Now we can begin the process of learning how to grow and nurture it

I smiled at your nurture comment. Plumbago is generally a tough-as-nails plant; coddling is not usually part of their growing requirements. :) They attract butterflies as a bonus.

Thanks for the tip Gyr_Falcon, that's one less plant I have to worry about babysitting ;-)

RE: Lavender flowered bush

I had trouble propagating new plants.
The plants take heat, sun, wind and keep on blooming.
