insane plant that tries to grow in all the pots I have

I've had a lot of trouble last summer in my balcony with this plant trying to take over all of my pots. This year I've managed to keep it away except for this particular place, because I just wanted to see how big it would grow and what its deal is if I just let it be. Needless to say I didn't do anything, it just grows and grows.
I live in Boston, Massachusetts.

Elm tree, Ulmus species. They have winged seeds so they
float on the wind into the most annoying location as you've
seen!

Thank you, that's it! I've noticed now that there are many elm trees on the street that I live. And many tiny elm trees trying to grow almost everywhere, not just on my balcony pots. It's crazy, how resistant and prolific this plant is. Now that I know though, I will take it and re-plant it in a nearby park. Thanks again!
