| Hey All,
I recently moved to a new house and found this ivy growning in a garden area on the side of the house. I believe it was intentionally planted there. It is a bright green and has a light fuzz on the steams, leaves and buds. It seems to be growing very quickly--both across the dirt and crawling up a cherry tree. I am not sure if it flowers or not. There are two things that look like buds. Once is popping up from the leaves and the second is at the end of the trails as it spreads (I think the second is just new tentacles spreading and growing). Any help you have in helping me learn what it is, if it flowers and what it does would be extremely helpful. I am trying to determine if it will be aggressive and negatively effect other plants I may want to plant in the future, as well as being too much to maintain. Thanks in advance for your help!!!!! | Pseudogynoxys cumingii might be an even better match. Or they may just be synonyms? |
Here is a link that might be useful: Pseudogynoxys cumingii

| Hmmmm, the mexican flame vine definitely has the fuzziness and shapes as the plant. However, since my plant isn't blooming it is hard to tell. I will send another set of photos once the plant flowers. Thanks Saltcedar! |

| Senecio confusus is a synonym of Pseudogynoxys chenopodioides, of which cumingii may be a subspecies. |
