ID Shrub/Tree

Please help me ID this Shrub/Tree growing in my back yard. I am located in Southern California if that helps IDing. Thank you!

is it possibly asclepias of some sort?? Here is a picture of some of my baby asclepias.

I dont think so. The plant has a woody trunk thats about 2 inches thick.

Oak with opposite leaves, er no.

The OP's pic is top down and out of focus. I can't see if it's opposite or alternate.
