These ferns grew under my palm tree
palm ferns
I found a great page for fern ID also on the link below
They have to be hardy because I did not plant them. They came to me like weeds.

Here is a link that might be useful: hardy ferns

A Couple of members just helped me to id my fern which looks to be the same as yours. "Lady Fern", Athyrium filix-femina...

oh no! If they are large ferns, I don't know how to remove them without killing them. All three are grown into the root ball of palm and there is not going to room for them in a tiny space. They are growing well right now, but what to do?

My husband & I had dug these ferns up a couple of years ago in the woods. It was hard to dig in the area they were in but we just got a little bit of root with it & planted it as soon as we got home. These are planted next to my small pond but they don't seem that large to me. I did get very close to the fern when I took the picture. I am no pro on planting, I just make sure to give anything that I plant plenty of water for a few days and I never dig up anything when it is really hot weather.

They are not rare, but that root is like a rock, I could never get them out without killing them. Maybe more will grow elsewhere.
