I was told when I bought this wonderful plant that it was a wild geranium. I can't find anything on the web to back this up. My plant is just over 2' high. It has large 5-lobed leaves. The multitudinous flowers are pale lavender with deep purple vein patterns. The flowers have 5 petals. Each petal has 2 lobes. I hope someone out there knows what this is. It's very hardy and beautiful. Thanks!

Not a geranium but something in the Malvacea, perhaps Malva sylvestris 'Zebrina' (full frontal photo would help :-))

Definitely M. Sylvestris 'Zebrina'.... A beautiful flower to have in the garden =) They come in a few other color combos, too -- most commonly purple & lavender.

You only have to plant it once...prolific self seeder.

i bought it once.. ten years ago.. killed in in year two for the bazillion seedlings ..

and i am still getting seedlings ...
