Ground Cover Mystery

Can you please help me identify these small plants that have started to take over the ground of my flower bed? We just bought this house in the spring so I am learning the plants as they pop up but this one has me stumped. If I pull one up each plant has its own root base and they are not connected to each other. Each one plant (even though they are super small) has small petals with 2 petals growing directly across from each other then right above those there are two more directly across from each other but now forming a cross shape (not overlapping) and then out of the top there are two more growing. The bottom of the stem and down to the root has the slightest hint of red. Right now they are small but some larger petals indicate that they might grow larger...???

Any help is greatly appreciated! If you need more pictures I can get them to you. I could only upload one.
