This plant looks a lot like black cohosh but the leaves just aren't right. Anyone know what it is? On the left is the flower (blooms from mid-June to the end of August) and on the right is the stalklike form showing the rosette leaf pattern. Thanks....!

I think it's Veronicastrum virginicum.

Agreed. Mine will be ready to bloom within the week. I love the whorled leaves on this pretty native plant.
