Solanum of some sort

She says it is perennial.

Solanum dulcamara

So from what I'm reading, it is a weed, probably seeded by the birds and the berries are poison but bitter.
Should I advise her to get rid of it, or does it have any value in a small urban yard.

I would get rid of it. Many better plants could be planted in its place.

I find bittersweet kind of pretty, but it's weedy as heck and will pop up everywhere.
