| Hello Everyone,
Can Anyone Help Indentifing any of these plants? I have posted 2 other threads and got my answers from other members so fast it was amazing. I figured that I wouldn't keep starting new threads and just make a list. I really appreciate that members take the time to help others with their knowledge on gardening. | Okay, this is the second plant. It is a bush of some sort. In early spring it gets this beautiful pink flowers. I had gotten this from a friend this year and she didn't know the name of it either. My husband dug it out of her yard and then we planted it immediately when we got home. It did lose all the flowers right away as it had gone into shock. I actually have 2 of these. Sorry that I have to keep posting my pictures in separate posts but I can't figure out how to apply more pictures in the same post. Thank you everyone in advance for taking the time to help me. | I have had many different plants in my frog planter over the years. This year I put in a couple of impatiens and something in the middle of them grew too. Of course But it kind of looks like my French Tarragon. It is possible that it rooted right through my frog planter or is is something else entirely. Plant-C |

| Thank You Amykat. I think you are referring to Plant-B. I didn't know that Azalea could get that big. wow.. I do have a small azalea in my yard that my daughter just bought me for Mother's Day. I never even made the connection on the two plants. Still have a lot to learn. Thank you so much.... |

| Yes, there are different kinds of ferns. I can't even keep the native ones in my own yard straight...I'm constantly looking them up. The link has, in addition to photos, some charts that can help you begin being able to ID your ferns. |

| I had purchased a couple of these plants last year from a greenhouse. They were sold as annuals but this one came back this year. We did have a very mild winter. I can't remember the name of this one either. Plant-E |

| The fern might be lady fern. The vine in the last picture is oriental bittersweet. |

| The fern looks like bracken to me, but I'm as far from an expert as you can get. Bracken is just the common name that I know it by too, but that's my two bits in case it helps. No ideas for the others, sorry. (The gray colored one reminds me of dusty miller because of the color, but it seems too tall for that.) |

| Plant H looks like Lemon Balm, Melissa officinalis, IMO. crush a leaf and sniff. It will be obvious if this id is correct. re plant E 'Valerie Finnis' is Artemisia ludoviciana 'Valerie Finnis'. Plant I could be Phlox subulata (Moss Phlox, Moss Pink, Mountain Phlox) The weed in your frog planter could be a Polygonum sp. |

| Plant I might also be prostrate rosemary, depending on where you are (hardy to zone 7.) Rub the leaves lightly and sniff your fingers; rosemary's scent is distinctive and I find it lovely. I am pretty sure that Plant C isn't Polygonum. It looks to me like one of the wild goldenrods. If it has fuzzy stems and leaves it's rough goldenrod, if it's smooth, most probably Canada goldenrod. They seed around pretty prolifically and will also spread by runners, so you probably want to get rid of this. Several of the others you will probably want to remove: the barberry which in the eastern and midwestern parts of the country are seeded by birds into the wilder areas and is quite prickery; the oriental bittersweet which will also seed invasively (thanks to the birds) in many parts of the country and is perfectly able to strangle and pull down large trees; your tree seedling unless you want a tree there since the bigger they get the more work they are to remove. The artemesia should have a large bottomless pot or other barrier around it unless you want to constantly be battling with it to prevent it from smothering other plants and taking over your garden. You should religiously deadhead (cut off old blossoms) from the lemon balm as soon as possible after blooming because this plant will seed prolifically and you will have to be constantly pulling it out of other plants, the lawn, etc. Just thought I'd give you some warning to prevent some of the problems I am now dealing with on my property. |

| nhbabs - you could well be right. The one in the frog planter, on a closer look, appears to have toothed leaves, so not Polygonum. The crawler could be rosemary, although it is hard to judge the scale. The flowers are said by the OP to be purple. I always see them as blue but perception of colour is a variable thing. The sniff test would be conclusive. |
