Name That Plant!

What is this beauty???

I have had this plant for several years - it had no tag when I purchased it. It starts blooming mid-June and keeps going until frost, looks beautiful in my garden and I would like to spread it around. I have tried to propagate it, but have not had any luck. It's not a coneflower, as the deer and groundhogs leave it completely alone. Any ideas?

Let it go to seed and you should get more plants, some of mine revert to more of a dark green but you can weed those out. You should be able to recognize them when they are starting out, they can "travel" a considerable distance.
