| We recently moved into a new house. The previous owners have many food type plants growing on the property (Asparagus, strawberries, grapes etc). I'm new to this area and some of the weeds here are new to me! I am trying to ID this plant, to find out if its a weed, or a food or something else!
The plants are a few feet tall, and the bulb smells oniony. The stalk, when bent, has more of a garlic smell. Thank you! |

| I'd like to know as well... Those grow wild on my farm. Are they edible? Usually more of them in the spring than summer. |

| Compare your plant to Allium vineale. |
|
| Thanks! I think that is what I have.... |

| They might not be wild garlic, but regular garlic that seeded around the lot since they grew a lot of edibles. You will be able to tell if you let one of the tops open and see what it looks like. If it develops a round ball of garlic bulbets but doesn't flower and grow sprigs as in the photos below, you will know. Remy |

| The only place they are found is IN the edible garden and only in one spot, which is why I thought perhaps they were planted there. I figured if they were a weed, they would be wider spread. I will keep an eye on the tops and see what happens. Thank y'all for the help! :D |
