Is this a crabapple ?

I live in Calgary Alberta and have an apple tree in mt yard that has sprouted another kind of tree from the root stock. The main tree has white blossoms and 3inch apples the new growth sprouting from the root has these pink blossoms that smell sooo good, and small red fruit less than an inch in diameter,and very sour.The fruit is quite a dark red and doesnt look like crabapple trees I have seen. I'd like to dentify it so I can get more as they are so beautiful and smell as nice as they look.

    Yes, it is. I don't know which Malus are used as root stock for cultivars but that's the root stock you have there.

    Thanks Maybe I'll contact a nursery where they do grafting.
