The first and second plants came out of nowhere. I don't know if they are worth keeping. I need to know their name to take good care of them. Help me, please. Thank you!

Is this grass?

Could this one be an African violet?

Third picture is a wax/fibrous begonia. Don't know about California, but here they're annuals done in by the first frost.

The wax or bedding begonias can live for several years in the ground in Sunset 23. Sometimes they just keep going and going, if they have a spot they like--some morning sun, afternoon shade, and loose, well-draining soil that is damp but not wet, and never soggy.

The other two just don't ring a bell.

Second is some weed, Amaranth IMO, or similar
first looks like some Dahlia. Did it sprout in the pot or did you dig it up? Could be either from a tuber or seed.
I think Dahlias struggle in very warm climate.

The wax begonia will work perfect for us. Thanks guys!

linaria, the Dahlia sprout by itself in that pot. It was hidding in shade behind a 20 gallon pot located in full sun. She seems to love that spot but I'll have to move it because nobody can see it in there.

The end of the Amaranth's leaves seems quite different than mine, any idea what would be a similar one? Thank you!

Right on, saltcedar. I thank you all for sharing your knowledge!

Could the first plant be a berry, e.g. raspberry? The leaves remind me of that.

^^No, it's most definitely a dahlia.
