Mystery Tree

This tree appeared in our yard, we did not plant it.

I do not recognize the leaf shape, and a search for leaf charts was not helpful as anything remotely shaped like this with the notches seemed to have a smooth edge.

Just wondering if anybody has any clues to what type of tree it is.

Morus species, one of the Mulberries.

Thank you very much, I believe you are right! I was looking in the completely wrong direction on this one, as I have only ever seen them grafted as weeping trees or as unruly bushes and never an actual tree.

Now to decide whether to leave it where it is, or to try and dig it up and move it to the chicken pasture.

Thanks again!

RE: Mystery Tree

Or the 3rd option is to remove it as it is a horrible weed.
