| Hello, I am having some trouble identifying this evergreen. Some say white pine, serbian spruce, norway spruce, and a bald cypress!!! I would like to get a few more, we have lots of property and we lost more than 10 evergreens due to a specific disease unique to that tree (cant remember which evergreen). They were at the very front of our property where the cars come and headlights now shine in. I woule like to get more of this kind but i dont know which it is. thanks so much for any help!

| Definitely not white pine or bald cypress. Norway spruce would be my guess. Close up photos of the needles and bark might be helpful. |

| Sometimes the cones are the best way to determine species. This MSU identification key might help. |

| You might take this opportunity to have all of your trees identified. Knowing as much as you can about these very valuable parts of your property will help you protect them....as in the case of all the other evergreens you lost. Were they hemlocks, by any chance? There are some terrific plant experts in this forum who will be happy to help. |
