found wild flower...proper latin name?

In my travels walking threw an area that was once suppose to be a portion of sub-division that never came to be, I stumbled upon a few wild flowers. I have seen them before but never had my camera with me, today I did, and went ahead and took a few photos. The area is full sun in sandy dry soil with only natural precipitation but it is happily blooming and was full of seed. The seeds capsule appears to look like a legume/pea but miniture very long, but also very thin. As well the flowers are very much legume like. The plant was laying flat on the ground with elongated ovalish dark thicker type leaves, not quite vine like more like a flat sprawling type plant with the flowers standing well above the flat foliage on long stems. I couldn't find it in the floradata, or any of my Florida native plant books...does anyone have a clue what it could possibly be?

I looked it up, it is close, but this doesn't have those hitch hiker type seeds like velcro. It has seed pods that resemble pea pod, the seed pods were slightly curved very long, very thin, smooth and had several seeds inside that looked just like beans, but miniture. The pods come open at the seem and it curls/twists around.
Thanks for the suggestion!

I read that the seed pods explode and did not find anything about the seeds sticking to things.
Have a look at the USFL site linked below and click on one of the two species, then on the right, click on photo gallery to view the plants, pods and flowers.

Here is a link that might be useful: Macroptilium

Thanks for the referance but all dried up leaves just look like that "dried up leaves"...in this day and age when we can take pitures in real time and send them to anywhere in real live living color it makes no sense to show anyone "dried up leaves" those websites need to catch up with the times. I will look for a good referance I can actually ID at other sites. Thanks again

Other sites had real photos a person can relate too.
I found it, it's called Macroptilium lathyroides.
Thanks again :-)

The site I linked to DOES have real photos. You need to look on the right at Photo Gallery and you will see individual photos of the plant.

There is a green area with Photo Gallery on the right just above the map of Florida.

You have Phasey Bean, aka Wild Bushbean, Macroptilium lathyroides (syn. Phaeseolus lathyroides). An introduced "weed" from the tropics, it thrives in the 'sugar sand' of Florida and is often found in disturbed areas. I found it to be plentiful in Sarasota county. The flowers start off red, then fade to maroon as they mature. Thin, pea-like seed pods follow. There is a great picture of it over at Dave's garden.

If you know what you are doing those "dried up leaves" are actually quite useful.
