I'd go for G molle again. Bearing in mind that on sea cliffs plants can be quite atypical due to the harsh conditions ie usually shorter, flatter to the ground and thicker leaved than inland specimens.

I bow to your superior knowledge, Flora. I thought they were different due to flower colour and also by leaf shape, but looking again, the leaves do have a similarity.
None of these was on cliffs, but a flat meadow in the Dawlish Warren National Nature Park, and checking the map, about 500m back from the beach, and yes, they would get a blasting whenever the weather was a "bit on the wild side".
