What are we?

They're all wildflowers (I think) captured in PA (USA). Any help with ID would be greatly appreciated!

Bloodroot?

Thank you in advance!

RE: What are we?

The first one looks to be a rain lily, Zephyranthes species, perhaps Zephyranthes candida

Are they all blooming right now? If not, when were they blooming?

Do you have a picture of the foliage for #3? Bloodroot is not one of them.

Last one looks like Fleabane.

RE: What are we?

Thanks for the responses! The first and last are positive IDs =) Thank you =)

No, I don't have a photo of the foliage, sorry.... The photos were all taken between 5.22-5.26.09 in the Pocono Mountains of PA.

#2 is Starflower, Trientalis borealis
#3 might be garlic mustard but would need to see the leaves

RE: What are we?

I would say #1 is Star of Bethlehem, Ornithogalum umbellatum. The leaf in the middle seems to have a whitish mid-rib, which SOB has. It's an introduced plant that has naturalized, weedy though cute. I am not familiar with the rain lily, so I did a quick search which indicated it would not likely be found in PA zones.

Okie.... So... #1 is indeed Star of Bethlehem (upon doing more photo research), #2 is Starflower #4 is Fleabane...

#3 isn't Garlic Mustard.... The plant has very tiny green leaves.

Thank you all for the assistance!

#3 looks like some kind of Cress, Cardamine spp, but you really need the leaves to make an ID. The relatively large white flowers and the long cylindrical seedpods suggest Cardmine, though. Spring Cress (Cardamine bulbosa) and Pennsylvania Bittercress (C. pennsylvanica) are possibilities, but there are others. Really need to see the leaves.

Here is a link that might be useful: Spring Cress

Okie.... Upon looking around at photos, etc., I'm 99% sure the plant is Cardamine Pensylvanica. Thank you for the tips which gave me a starting point to work with on that one!

RE: What are we?

I don't know where # 1 is located, like if you have transplanted any of it, but please be aware that it is a horrible, horrible introduced invasive.

The soil on my property is infested with the bulbs, and there is absolutely nothing that will kill them once they get established. They even present problems for farmers who use no-till crop planting.

End of small rant.............
