Help with ID - Not a yucca so...huh

I have these spikey trees (plants) growing in groups almost like my Sagos when untrimmed. Making a spikey dome like shape when untrimmed I enjoy them, they're Very sharp. Stay evergreen. As they grow in height (slowly - maxing out at about 4ft by 3ft each) I trim the leaves/fronds up from the botttom, making the stem/trunk look like scales. Normally the bottom leaf/frond tips hit the ground tattering them and trimming them didn't harm it, if anything made it fuller. They've been growing 20 yrs here in Baton Rouge LA with lil to no maint for the majority of that time and are reproducing lil ones like crazy right now. A nieghbor has told me its a "yucca plant"? But I have found no evidence of that aside a pic that resembles it she found. I DO however notice many similarites in the way it grows/sharpness of leaves/and it's "pups" popping up now compared to my beloved sago palms. Could it be in the same family? Any info would be appriciated! Thanks.

These are the roots....the large plant roots look pretty much the same as these. This is a young one of the plant in question (approx a 2ft plant right now). They thrive in the shade and full on brutal southern sun. I shall try and get a pic of a "group" of them when the rain stops- the "group" has not been trimmed.

Thanks so much. I posted a few young ones for sale (as Yucca per neighbors ID pic) and got into quite a debate over it that it wasn't a Yucca lol. So I pulled the ads until I knew. I did some searching and found such a variaty of Yucca I was in doubt :-( maybe because I trim them the person was determined to tell me different! Lol I'll have to post a pic of the grown ones.

Looks like Yucca aloifolia.

Here is a link that might be useful: Yucca aloifolia

There's nothing else that plant can be BUT yucca. I am curious about what the others were saying about it, though.

It's yucca all right. I made the mistake of planting some in the back yard one year. Was so happy to finally dig them out.

Maybe the others were thinking they were spike Draceana.

This is a cluster of them. I actually have about 4 of these clusters and the shoot off tiny versions (rooted) right next to each other. I have been pulling the young ones to keep the groups from getting too big. The original pictured one is from this pictured cluster....I need to get in there and clean out the undergrowth and over growth lol but haven't had the time (or the right gloves! Whew they're sharper than my Sagos! I did find some that looked very similar called "spanish baonet*" (spell checks off lol) common name tho I think, sure is sharp like one though!
