Does anyone recognize this shrub. I saw it in a shopping center parking area and would love to know what it is.

Looks like Indian Hawthorne (or Hawthorn, not sure): Rhaphiolepis indica.

When it's a plant the correct spelling is always hawthorn.

Indian Hawthorne is in bloom in the early spring, usually along with the early azaleas.

Yes, it looks like a Hawthorn, but is sure isn't doing very well.

Thanks, bboy, I knew that was true for Crataegus, but wasn't sure about this. That is easy to remember.
