This plant only grows about 6-8" in height it seems to be more of a ground cover. Thanks for your help

Yellow flowers? Might be Mimulus luteus.

Is there any scent when you crush a leaf. Looks rather like an ailing Nepeta or Teucrium. Are the naked brown stems with what look like seed pods part of the plant or a weed (eg bitter cress) intermingled with it?

The leaves don't look juicy enough for Mimulus to me Vetivert.
