| Hi,
I was given a cutting of this interesting plant. I was told that it festoons itself with fruit of five different colors, can grow to three feet tall and was found at a farmer's market. The donor said it wasn't an ornamental pepper, but I think it is. Closest I could come to was Caspicum annuum '5 color Marble'. I'm not 100% comfortable with this cultivar name since this plant has purple flowers and 'Marble' has white. Your opinion, please? |

| Thanks for the suggestion, but the chinese five color peppers seem to have conical fruit--my plant has very rounded fruit, like marbles and green leaves. |

| FataMorgana, 'Marbles" was my initial thought, but I can't reconcile the purple flowers--all the photos I saw were of white flowers for this cultivar. I considered the Tepin, but it didn't match the shape of my fruits nor were any Tepin cultivars shown with five colors of fruit present at the same time. Help! |

| Seed grown could be throwing other characteristics - not so standard per the type. I grew some purple flowered peppers last year - "Vietnamese Multi-colored" and "Fillius Blue." Gorgeous all the way around. The shapes aren't right but they have very small fruits. Worth looking at those perhaps. FataMorgana |
