Need lots of ID's...(Picture intensive!!)

Hi all!!

We just moved back into a house so I kinda went seed happy. Due to the seeds being 5+ years old, knowing not all would germinate, I just threw the whole pack of seeds in, in various places. It was also a windy day when I was doing this...so Im sure there are "stragglers."

Anyway, on to the pics: Veggie Garden first.

6. Crabgrass or a grass leaf plant? I planted wildflower seeds in here:

7. Of course they ALL germinated...I believe I planted coreopsis and tritoma in here, but I honestly don't remember ..

#5 looks like pigweed (Amaranthus) to me

#3 and 4 are a grass. Onion leaves are hollow and will always smell like onions when crushed

I think you're right about the crabgrass. I also see some spurge in there with it (another weed).

8. I was bound and determined to get Tritoma, so I planted it whereever I could..just not sure if I got lucky anywhere

11. Another one where all germinated..I think there's 2 different ones growing in here... in that section I planted snapdragons, malva, liatris, scabiosa, and who knows what else.

12. Close up of the 2 different ones, unless they are the same and at different stages:

13. Im pretty sure the thing in the front is a weed, not sure of the one in the back.

Ok, I think that's it. I appreciate any help you could give me. I think I over did myself.

Also, in number 2..I know the stuff in the back is corn and cantaloupe and the side is carrots. It's the stuff in the front. I know I planted lettuce, and onions, and a flower that started with an N.that the packet said would be good for there. Just wanted to know if I have this stuff or if it's weeds.

Thank you Texasflip..I do not remember planting Amaranthus, but if that is it, I'll take it! lol

I don't see much that isn't a weed other than #11. In #12, you've got your fingers on what I believe to be a pokeweed, and in #13, that's purslane in the front and what looks like mulberry seedlings in the back. Most of the stuff in #s11 and 12 (other than the pokeweed) have a vegetable-ish look, so may not be weeds. #7 may be a real plant, so to speak, but I'm pretty sure it's neither coreopsis nor tritoma.
I wish you better luck next year - the battle cry of the gardener.

Did you sow any radishes? That's what 11 looks like to me.

RE: Need lots of ID's...(Picture intensive!!)

No radishes as far as I remember. There's a LOT in 11..more than the pic leads the eye to believe..hmm maybe thinning out time... The second posting of pics is in front of the house, so I know no veggies out there, unless either the wind took them there, or there was a lot attached to me.

Regrettably, looks like youve got a bumper crop of a collection of weeds, including in the window boxes.
I see lots of purslane, spurge, crabgrass, pigweed, pokeweed, ragweed, lambsquarters scattered about in your pictures.

:( Oh well, thanks anyways..there's always next year.. I did get rid of all the purslane, spurge, crabgrass and lambsquarters...the other stuff I'm just gonna leave for now..and cross my fingers. The mailbox looks so much nicer now with just one morning glory seedling and 2 sunflowers. Maybe something good will come up now with all the other crap gone.

7. Looks like a Mallow Hibiscus.
