These plants were in dry, shaded woods. They looked like small, woody shrubs close to the ground. But they also had stems that twined to about 8 feet high. Leaves were 12-18 inches long, and odd-pinnately compound with 11-15 leaflets per leaf. There were no tendrils, and no evidence of flowers or fruit.
