I noticed this plant while walking the dog yesterday. It is coming up where they clearcut the trees about 2 months ago. Most are currently 18" tall, but there is one that is about 3 feet tall.

The flower is light purple. We are in central NC.

Oh, and how about the weed with the purple tinted leaves behind it? I have lots of those coming up where we cleared for our septic system.
