I have searched the web a lot to ID this small white tree with interesting white flowers with long leaf like petals.
Thanks

Hola It seems to me Euphorbia leucocephala but it is tropical I do not know if it will survive in zone 4 or 5. The leaves segregate sap a milky liquid ...?

Long white leaf-like petals hardy to zone 5 would mean a fringe tree, Chionanthus virginicus to me. But it doesn't quite look like the pictured plant. Is the pictured plant in India? FataMorgana

I saved the image then enlarged the detail and the leaves look nothing like Chionanthus. The leaves appear quite narrow, almost linear.

The pictured tree is in India, so is its mother. But the mother plant was from a cutting from someone who took it from around upstate NY. It thrives in India, so maybe its tropical. And was sold as an annual in NY. I thought it was Chionanthus virginicus as well. But yes I agree if you zoom into the white leaves they look different. Bromelia, I think you are right! Google images of Euphorbia leucocephala look very similar. The pictured tree seems to have thinner leaves but maybe a close different cultivar, or maybe just different growing conditions. Thanks everyone

If it's a Euphorbia and you tear off a leaf or take a cutting, you should see white sap, latex.
|
I've asked my Dad about the white sap... And I found that Euphorbia is a large genus of plants. But does this particular type the leucocephala comes in any other colors?
|
Looks like there is a pink variety, ' Pink Finale'.
Here is a link that might be useful: Euphorbia leucocephala

Thanks!
