Gift from friend - tropical?! What is it??

A friend gave me a cutting/baby of her larger plant of this type. She claims it's tropical and possibly from a bulb. She says it'll flower once every few years with a large long flower with a stinky scent. The stalk is a light brown with a unique dark greenish spotting/splotches on it. She says it goes dormant in the winter. We live in MN so it's outside in the summer and inside in the winter. I can't figure out what it is and she doesn't know either as it was just passed onto her too. Please help :-)

Here is a photo showing the stalk. It's a real mystery to me but I am certainly no expert. It's currently maybe 1 foot tall but the mother was 3 feet or so? Thanks!!

It must be a voodoo lily! Thank you Pitimpinai for the quick response :)
