What could this be?

I saw this today at a local garden whose owner didn't plant it, thought it might have come from a dropped seed or whatever. It's a handsome plant, close to 6' high; leaves exude a distinctive scent when crushed. Given the silver-gray foliage, looks like it might be some sort of artemisia. Can anyone identify it?

Many thanks,
Gary

Possibly Atimesia absinthium

Thank you. It could be, though many of the sources on artemisia absinthium that I just checked suggest a shorter, bushier plant.

The foliage on this plant is quite feathery with a pleasant feel to it, not like, e.g., artemisia vulgaris, another one I looked at. If not artemisia, then what?

look at Artemisia abrotanum

if they are struggling to ID.. you might consider a better pic ... including a leaf.. and group of leaves;. and of course.. when it flowers.. such

It must be close to flowering; that would be a help. Unfortunately, I'm quite a distance from the garden i found it in. Maybe the owner can send me a pic when it's in bloom. It really is quite a handsome plant, even when not in bloom.

The owner just sent me a photo of the plant in flower. Does this get us closer to an identification?

Many thanks for your help.
