Mystery seedlings

First, I want to say you people are awesome! I am addicted to reading this web site! I am in awe of the knowledge here.

Second, I hope someone can help me. I started these inside early this spring and set them outside in a pot when it was warm enough. I have forgotten what they might be. Next year I swear I am writing everything down. The seedlings have not grown in two months, nor have they died. They are about 2 inches tall. They have very feathery green leaves and red stems.

Cosmos bipinnatus perhaps.

That's not what I planted in the pot, but I think you are correct. I have Cosmos everywhere, and I guess they decided to seed themselves. I have just never seen them stay this small for this long. Thanks!
