Daylily and iris can look similar as babies. As they grow the iris are more 'sword like', tall and stiff. The daylily leaves spread out like a fountain around the center where the flowers come up and bloom. It might just take time since your babies are young. I hope so. The seeds sure look right.

You won't know for sure without flowers but the seeds look like Iris domesticata, blackberry iris. Foliage is a match too.
