No, it cannot be Ochna integerrima.

They look quite different. These flowers grow off the ground. I suspect the bamboo-like leaves are from the same plant  Could this be some kind of ginger?

Ginger was my first thought, but the "eye balls" doesn't seem to fit... Do you have any other information, or a location? A higher resolution picture?

The Flora of China treatment on Zingiberaceae is online; start with looking at Amomum, Etlingera and Hornstedtia.

To me they look like opened fleshy fruits with the "eye balls" being seeds, wouldn't gingers have {{gwi:296796}}?

It's worth a shot, I doubt you will get any further on this forum, and I would love to know what it is.

My guess would be the fruits of some kind of ginger, family Zingiberaceae. I will check with a colleague who knows this family better than I do.

Looks like the fruits and fleshy bracts of one of the Asian Ochnas.

I checked with a couple of colleagues and they confirm that it is some kind of ginger, family Zingiberaceae; their guess is either Zingiber or Etlingera, but can't say which species. (BTW the stems and foliage visible in the photo, which I overlooked the first time, also confirm that it is Zingiberaceae.)
