My grandmother gave this plant to me over 30 years ago, I have named it "wont die". It is about 2 1/2' high and its leaves grow to about 1' long and 4" wide, the plant has never had more than a dozen leave at one time on each stock. Could you plaes help me out?

Looks like Cordyline fruticosa.

Why are so many people posting images with just a small portion of the plant showing? Is it a problem with being able to take pictures with a cell phone?

You may want to cruise over to the house plant forum if you'd like to discuss your plant in more detail.

Rhizo- or perhaps some sort of cropping "feature" of larger images (large as in size, height & width) with the image file upload? Anyone see any info from GardenWeb on details about the image upload function, its limits or what it does with images? Of course working with a number of different folks on their websites, I know many people do take poorly composed photos. And I don't think cell phones, which aren't the same as real cameras, have not helped that at all. Don't know for sure but I would suspect a variety of causes. FataMorgana
