What kind of Rose is this?

Hello,

I was told in the bulbs forum that the flower in the below picture is a rose. Now that I think about it, I can see thorns in the photo, along the upper stem.

My question is, what kind of rose is this? Why is it so small? Will it get larger? Is there a link to information on this particular rose (and what is this rose's name?)?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all.

One of many kinds of small-flowered roses. Try the rose identification forum here on GardenWeb.

It is extremely difficult to make a positive ID of a rose from just pics especially a pink rose.
If you like the look of that rose, I suggest you check out 'The Fairy' which is a polyantha type rose. It looks like that one. It makes a nice size mounding shrub. There of course are miniature roses too, but the whole plant (most of the time) stay compact too.
Here's a pic with The Fairy coming into bloom.

Here's a close up of bloom clusters towards the end of bloom and starting to fade.
