| Hi everyone, this is my first post on here, just bought a house with 1.6 acres and tons of plants, but there are a lot I am not familiar with! Your help is appreciated! These 3 are all in full sun. We are in southern pa. Not sure of their habits throughout the year because we just got the house.
1-This one had some purplish blooms on it a couple months back, but not a lot of blooms, seemed scraggley.
Zoomed out version of the same plant
2- I think this is a weed? Or a tree? There are no trees around here that look like this though
3-This is a decent looking flower but I think it is getting baked in the sun now
4- no idea what this could be. No blooms and each leaf is the size of my head. I am chomping at the bit to chop it down, especially now that it is getting baked in the sun too.
Thanks!!!! |

| I think your "tree" is a mimosa. The little flower is some kind of geranium. Don't know the others. |

| The light reflecting on one and two makes it difficult to see details but they might be Heathers. |

| After a very long time I would like to make a suggestion of the ID of the first two pics up there.... erica darleyensis??? |

| As I said, the light reflecting off the plants makes it impossible to see enough to decide which kind of heather you have. But at least you've confirmed it is one. |

| I thought the first one might be Rosemary. Does it smell good if you rub it? |
RE: New house, old plant
| | |
| No, it's not not rosemary. The OP thinks it could be an Erica, as I suggested earlier. Wrong habit and appearance for Rosemary. |

| One may be Cryptomeria japonica 'Globosa Nana' |
Here is a link that might be useful: Cryptomeria japonica 'Globosa Nana'

| No, I do not think it is that Cryptomeria japonica. As I said up above, it did have sme purple flowers when we first bought the house in March. I will try to get another pic tomorrow but it's not blooming now. |

| One looks like an Erica to me, probably E. carnea. |

| By using a photo service and linking in the images here. The OP used photobucket. FataMorgana |
