It was given to me as Liatris. It is pretty in a strange way. But it looks nothing like Liatris in my garden.
Thanks.

Ok, I'll wait. Thanks. It's just that my other Liatris is in bloom, but this one shows no sign of color.

Thank you again.

It's just that my other Liatris is in bloom,

==>>

there are usually two latin names

and the second.. . usually involves minor differences in the family of the first name ...

and bloom time is one of those variables.. along with height.. etc ...

and that is why.. learning both latin names... brings you much more knowledge.. especially in devising a garden plan.. that involves waves of flowering.. as compared to all at once ...

its the next leap in your garden knowledge ... that being.. moving away from common or simple names.. and really understanding plant differences ...

so google up the latin name provided... you will learn more than you ever thought possible ...

it looks like you are going to have a lot of flowers.. which means the potential for a lot of seed... i would learn if the seed is viable.. and determine if some proactive deadheading is requisite before you end up with 50 million of them ... lol ...personally.. i dont know this plant ...

ken

Perhaps this link will make you feel patient and wait for good things to happen.

RE: What is this?

Awesome! Thanks, dbarron. So it is not the same Liatris as the Liatris spicata that is currently in bloom in my garden.
