Are this/these pics enuf to ID this plant. about 2ft (65cm) tall; at edge of pond

Oh yeah, found in southern Indiana.

It appears to be based on the rather upright bracts. The only other similar species I know of is S. purshianus. If you want to be certain you should examine the achenes and run that through the flora of north america key.
