Purple plant with claw like blooms

I need help identifying this plant. The purple bloom has a dry, brush like feel, almost like a dried flower. There is one larger long cone in the center with several smaller ones that come out the base of the center cone. The overall shape of the bloom is like a weird monster claw (as best as I can describe it). There are several off there purple "monster claws" on the whole plant. I bought it at Safeway but there was no name or description on the tag. Bloom time is late July, early august. No fragrance, leaves are dark green, simple in shape and grow individually out of the stem down entire the length of the stem. Can anyone help?

Thank you both for the help! I've never even hear of celosia, it's so neat, quickly becoming a new favorite if mine!

Don't get too attached to that particular plant. They're annuals so you'll need to get replacements if you want have them ever year.
