Aucuba japonica , Gold dust plant or Spotted laurel.

If this growing in Hong Kong I think it is more likely the tropical Gold Dust Croton.(Codiaeum variegatum) It looks extremely similar to the hardy Aucuba.

Oh good grief! I am not doing too well with these. Sorry Angela. Thanks Flora and Saltcedar, just as well some of us know what we are talking about. Perhaps I should call it quits. Two mistakes in one day...ouch!
Where does it say anything about Hong Kong BTW? Not that I would have said anything different, just curious.

deejaus - I checked the OP's profile, as Saltcedar said, (in blue at the top of the post). I usually try to remember to do it but in this case I also thought the shrubs in the background looked unlike something from an Aucuba climate.

Thanks Saltcedar and Flora. I must admit, I don't think of checking profiles, I really should.
I have Aucuba in my garden. You would have thought I would notice the difference, subtle as it is. I rushed into this one on a first glance....smacking wrist....
