Eryngium seedling?

This came up in a patch of chives. Wondering what it might be, looks kinda like an eryngium.

I agree it looks like an Eryngium.

Another possibility if this is a herb patch is horseradish but is looks too small for that. A sniff of a bruised leaf would determine if it was.

Good suggestions; thanks to both of you. I think I'll let it be and see if it survives a MN winter.

Have you crushed and sniffed a leaf? That would eliminate horseradish.
