The attached images are of some plants that have popped up out of nowhere in my yard and have been growing for a couple of weeks. Previously, they have popped up and I�ve mowed them down. I�ve sprayed a few of them with Round Up but they keep coming back. I�m not sure if you can see in the photos that the new leaf growth at the top of the plants is red and oily but the oil seems to dry up as the leaves change color as they age. These plants must have been propagated by birds or wind because they weren�t here when I moved here 5 years ago. They are growing in the open grass near some photinia shrubs. I�ve been afraid to touch them, because of the oily leaves, so I haven�t dug them up to see their root systems, but I can if that will assist in identifying them. Any assistance in the identification is greatly appreciated.
