Have not seen him/her.

This is not good! Does anyone know why?

I'm under the impression that salt is a he.

I wondered why he didn't respond when (a week or so ago?) someone posted a photo of salt cedar (the plant) to ID.

His profile shows an email contact thru GW if someone wants to email him.

I sent an email although I've never talked to Salt personally, just in discussions on here. Someone who has helped so many has a lot of good karma going for them, if something is wrong and help is needed.

I just started peeking in here not that long ago and have appreciated his vast knowledge, but felt too bold emailing him inquiring about his absence. Hopefully, it's just an extended summer vacation-last post I could find was July 28, so it's just a month now.

He is one of the best......

I noticed that he posted less frequently before he stopped.....but as the above poster stated....hope he is on vacation, otherwise we have lost a valuable botanist.....

I emailed him & am happy to report he replied with this happy news...getting PAID to do what we all love to do here! Wishing him the BEST in his new endeavor!

All's well, thanks for asking. I'm just getting paid to do identifications now, so don't have the time to do the freebies much any more. If I ever decide to stop you'll probably see me on Gardenweb more often.

I asked long ago...Saltcedar is a him. His real name could be either & I was curious, as I conjure up a picture in my head who I'm typing to on here (to remember people). LOL
