Is This A Chinese Lantern Plant ??

Hello... this photo was sent to me via email. Bulbs are greenish, hollow, papery, but the bulbs have soft furry spikes on them. Is this a Physalis prior to turning orange? Hope you recognize & Happy Autumn

Syn. Asclepias physocarpa. Common names hairy balls, furry balls, balloon milkweed. Non-native invasive.
