Are the leaves opposite one another? They appear alternate, but not sure if some got dropped off.

Viburnum and dogwood have opposite leaf arrangement. Frangula has alternate leaves.

That's an easy way to rule some choices.

Definitely Frangula alnus. The veins are straighter than those of dogwood. The reddish petioles also help pin it down, plus the shiny black fruit. Best way to control is cut stems and treat with herbicide, also known as "cut and paint". Late summer and fall is a good time to do it.

Note the speckled stems now. Will help to distinguish it from dogwood later on. Might also want to check the area now for speckled alder as it will look similar in the fall.
