What is this lovely flower?

I originally put several plants like these in my front garden, but the deer ate them up before they could grow. So I put this one in a pot and - voila! - I finally got this. But what is it?
I know I ordered it a few years ago from a mail-order company. But I have never gotten it to grow before this.
