Bright Blue Flower Mystery

My friend has this flowering plant in her garden in Turkey. Can anyone identify? I'd like to get seeds for it here in the US, but don't know what to call it. Thanks.

Thank you, so much. I thought it was a morning glory, but she said it had no vine. I never heard of a "vineless" morning glory. Thanks, again.

Just in case the common name 'Morning Glory' leads to confusion, this is Convolvulus tricolor, not an Ipomoea. It is a bushy annual and does not vine. I can't tell if it is actually one of the ensign series or just the plain species.

They are available from Burpee and come in several colors. I grow them every year. I have some from 2010 (unopened) if you want them.

Thanks for the information, I really like using proper names for plants - as you say, it eliminates confusion, and errors.

babcia,
Thanks for the offer, I'd love to have the seeds. Email me.
Regards,
Lynda
